Britain must lead on defence and aid
The UK needs to strengthen both our Armed Forces and our soft power.
We are currently campaigning for the local elections on May 1st to elect Liberal Democrats to West Northamptonshire Council as well as town and parish councils.
It’s not too late to register to vote (until 11 April) or get a postal vote (until 14 April).
Unlike other parties, we don’t have big businesses, trade unions or overseas sources to fund our campaign, so you may not get a leaflet through your door. You can however find out about your candidates here and find our about what we stand for here on this website. You can also volunteer to help us or to donate.
This year, we have elections for West Northamptonshire Council. Turnout for these at the last set of elections in 2021 was only 29%. Click the button below for links to the government website for registration, selecting a postal vote and arranging a proxy if you are unable to get to your poling station.
The UK needs to strengthen both our Armed Forces and our soft power.
Today is Holocaust Memorial Day.
The UK must once again stand tall, leading on the world stage and working closely with those who share our interests – including, above all, our partners in Europe.
Ed Davey is a husband, a father and a carer. He is the Leader of the Liberal Democrats.
It is Ed’s experience of caring that drives much of his politics, and motivates his tireless campaigning for a fair deal.
Meet our representatives and candidates.
