We also came second in Ravensthorpe Ward where Mike Cobbe was fighting the seat for the first time:
Ravensthorpe Ward Mike Cobbe (LD) 225 (28%) Conservative 463 (58%) Labour 108 (14%)
Total ballots 802 Turnout 41.84% Spoilt 6
Result: Conservative HOLD with majority: 238
We also achieved votes shares of 13% and 12% in Long Buckby and Weedon wards.
Across the whole of Daventry District the party achieved a 14.2% share of the vote - which of course is nearly 10% higher than our share at the General Election last year (although the constituency boundaries are slightly larger). So a big thank you to our candidates in the 10 other wards who made sure people could vote for the party.
Thank you to everybody who came and helped out in our campaign - it really showed that 'where we work we can win' and gives us a great base to build on.
