Jonathan Harris is your LibDem candidate for the Daventry constituency

This government has been out of time and out of ideas for months if not years. Now it’s time to get them out of office. They have taken us for granted for far too long. I feel Heaton-Harris has left Daventry largely to fend for itself, being pretty absent and invisible for many. I can't think of any representations made about Daventry that have been made in parliament. In this election every vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote for a fair deal. It’s a vote for a party that will stand up for our community and our health services and do the right thing by everybody. It is such a privilege to serve the local community in my council ward of Brixworth. As your MP I could do the same and much more for everyone in Daventry constituency.

Stewart Tolley is your LibDem candidate for the South Northants constituency

I can’t wait to get stuck into the campaign in South Northants. I’ve already knocked on so many doors but I will get to every village and want to speak to as many of you as possible. The Government has failed to deal with the problems in the NHS and they have let raw sewage flood our rivers and seas. Locally, they want to turn our precious market town and village communities and countryside into sprawling identikit housing estates or warehousing. We also need more police officers locally. It's time for a change and for voters in South Northamptonshire to have a credible choice. With the Liberal Democrats beating the Conservatives in May’s local election and winning four stunning parliamentary by-election victories since the last parliament, you no longer need to have a Conservative MP in South Northants. Andrea Leadsom has long been more interested in her own career in the government than in South Northamptonshire, and now she shows her contempt for local people by cutting and running . Let’s make history and break this blue wall.

At long last this inept Conservative Government is doing what the public has been begging them to do for months and months – it is standing down. They have failed to fulfil the promises that they made in 2019. They have let down ordinary working families, and everyone you ask says it’s time for a change. The outgoing Government has failed to deal with the problems in the NHS, they have failed to deal with the cost of living crisis, and they have allowed the water companies to give their executives massive bonuses while they pump raw sewage into our waterways. Your Conservative MP voted against a recent amendment that would have made those bosses criminally liable. It really is time for a change. Every vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote for a fair deal. It’s a vote for a party that will stand up for our community and our health services.

Chris Leggett is your LibDem candidate for the Northampton North constituency

At long last the electorate can make their voices heard and be rid of this utter shambles of a government. I am looking forward to being given the chance to represent the people of Northampton North and finally give them a fair deal on Housing, NHS, Dentistry and cleaning up our filthy rivers and waterways. I will help ensure that we also clean up the House of Commons with legislation for mandating the Ministerial Code into law, no more hiding behind a PM who is too weak to act fairly and decently. The announcement was symbolic with Rishi being washed away by the pouring rain, somewhat reminiscent of the tears so many have shed during the last five years of failure after failure. It is time for a change, it is time for a fair deal for everyone.
